Mahagun as a group always strives to be environmentally responsible and therefore takes recourse to best practices to develop green buildings for a better future.
The group continues to place high priority to green technologies to reduce carbon foot-print and contribute to the noble mission of providing a healthier planet for future generations.
Most of its projects conform to “GOLD” standard of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). They have approximately 70% open area and ample landscaped greens. Use of low flow fixtures & recharging of ground aquifer with rainwater harvesting pits ensure water conservation. Roof insulation & use of high performance building materials reduce heating loads, air-conditioning demands and enhance energy efficiency. Use of low VOC products like paints and sealants ensure healthy and pollution free indoors. Partial solar lighting in landscaped areas and solar water heating enhance energy conservation. Use of Aluminium form work construction technique on most of the project sites proves more eco-friendly than conventional construction techniques.
The group visualizes the importance of a green environment and therefore implements it as a part of their culture.
